Joy of Summer.

The joy of summer is just around the corner. The crazy, hazy, lazy days that are filled with sun-kissed colors, flavors and good times in the making. You can hear the children screaming, running around, riding bicycles and the bell of the ice-cream man that comes around in the neighborhood.
The smile on their faces when they get the ice pops and the joy of being with a friend sitting in a grass talking and giggling is what the summer is all about. This is the season of the year that we stay up late and a time where we enjoy grilling, picnics, and playing in the water. It is so much fun especially for the kids, they can play till they dropped. Some children are changing colors already developing a tan, including my kids.

I remember when my in-laws visited us this time last year and my daughter was always bugging them that she wants to sell a lemonade with his brother. She got her wish. Nana help her set up her own table outside and sell lemonade.
It was good practice for the kids and they learned responsibility and it was fun knowing they earn something. They were thrilled when somebody came and bought a glass of lemonade. Have a good summer day.

Nance, you are creating fun memories, that's very good! This blog, especially the part where your kids were selling lemonade reminds me of my childhood! I was about 7 or 8, me and my sister wanted to make money so we made bunches of ice candy (flavors: buko, orange, milk, so on)and we sold it to the kids and adults alike. 1 peso per ice candy, I remember my sister and I were the only kids selling fat and long ice candy. Neighbors were crazy for our yummy ice candies! I also remember climbing our guava tree and sold the fruits at school! I also remember selling our Tatang Juan's Ice buko, I walked miles and miles yelling ice buko with our kililing bell! It was hard work but I had fun anyway!! :D
