I'd never thought my vegetable plants would survive the cold weather but they grew healthy as I described them. My hubby is the one who use to plant vegetable but since he's gone overseas I took his part and try to plant them. I was happy with the results and I saw some fruits already. It is exciting knowing that soon you will get a harvest from your garden. I plant pumpkins for Halloween, that is my kids request and daddy also. I got my squash that I bought from the Asian store and sow the seeds and I was surprised it grows. The taste and texture is almost the same as we have back home. Japanese eggplant that I got from home depot, it's quite similar the one I use to cook from where I am.
I hardly buy eggplant in the market since it taste different to me, I just love the kind we have use back in my home town. And cucumber, it is one of the veggies that we always have in the house. Hubby love to make kimchee out of it and it is a big hit. I cannot imagine eating grilled pork without kimchee. It is a perfect dish that it goes with everything. A tomato, we love to eat it at breakfast along with a spice vinegar and sauce. and the last but not the least Bell pepper, I always use it when I cook my favorite dish and that I am proud of, a pepper steak. This is just some of the vegetable plants that I would love to have in my garden and soon enough I can harvest them.
