It has been two weeks since hubby has returned, and everything is back to normal. The first day he returns to work it feels like he is gone again; when the children wake up they asked, “where is daddy “ ? I said, he is making money for food and toys, then they keep asking, “ is he driving our car”? Anyway, he is my grilling machine and since he’s return he grills almost everyday. I teased him that I might gain weight with his cooking which is my utmost concern.

He called from work today and told me not to eat a lot for lunch because he is thinking to grill pork ribs. Grilled food is one of my favorites and he made his famous pork ribs when he came home. I’ve been craving this for long time since he was abroad. The unique step of the recipe was that he boiled it with pineapple before he throws to the grill. It has a good flavor; a combination of sweet and sour plus a spicy kick at the end.

Pork ribs
Pineapple Juice
Bay leaf
Garlic
Salt
Sugar
Red flakes hot pepper
- Mix all ingredients in a pot, put the pork ribs and boil it.
- Slow the heat and let it simmer until the meat is tender.
- Remove the pork ribs and bring down the sauce to like syrup.
- Grill and baste it with the sauce.
