what does it mean if my black battery handle is getting hot?
i have a battery charger and there is a red and black handle and the black handle is getting burning hot when it is on the battery.
Resistance causes the heat. You don’t have a good connection between the battery and the clamp or the clamp to cable connection is dirty, corroded or loose. The acid vapors coming from a charging battery will corrode clamps and connections very rapidly. If you had a reverse polarity or the battery was “pulling too many amps” clamps, cables and battery would all heat.
